i was so pumped when i first heard that Trent was working on new NIN material. However, i am not as overwhelmed with this new album as i want to be. It has its moments w/ "All Time Low" and "Satellite". Honestly I haven't listened to this album in its entirety more than two or three times because i find it almost impossible. And not due to time constraints but lack of desire. It really makes me sad that I feel this way. I don't want to feel this way. There is a song (or two) on HM that I absolutely cannot stand. (i don't even have to tell you, you KNOW the one) I'm feeling a departure, a schism from an entity that I have drawn upon for over two decades. Trent is old. I am old. We have both changed quite a bit over the years. I can't exactly put my finger on what I dislike so much without sounding like a troll. I will still go see live NIN if they come to a venue near me. One thing for sure is they get better and better each time i see them live. OK i'm going to try to listen to it one more time all the way through and be open and objective about the experience. Its going to be hard not to skip over that one song. (The dang song gets stuck in my head for DAYS afterwards and it really annoys me!!)
